Kristin Nicholas, featured designer for Nashua Handknits, former creative director at Classic Elite Yarns, and one of Vogue Knitting’s Master Knitters, has released her newest book, Kristin Knits, and for the first time, is showcasing the vibrant, colorful patterns in a traveling trunk show. All the garments in the show are made with Kristin’s yarn, Julia, developed and distributed by Nashua Handknits. Kristin Knits, Nicholas’s groundbreaking work in knitting with color, encourages knitters to look around at a flower-filled park, an art museum, a child’s picture book, to find inspiration and motivation. She helps readers to develop their own personal fiber palette and demonstrates how to work that palette in her riotously colorful scarves, mittens, gloves, hats, and socks. Bobbles, stripes, embroidery, fringe – all look fresh and new in Kristin’s playful designs. From neophyte to expert, there’s something for any knitter in Kristin Knits.
